As a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Gregory Cendana received his BA in Sociology and Labor & Workplace Studies. While at UCLA, Gregory was Student Body Vice President and Campus Organizing Director for the University of California Student Association. Additionally, he served on the board of Samahang Pilipino, a Pilipino advocacy organization at UCLA, specifically addressing gender & sexuality issues. In addition, he has sat on USSA Board of Directors as the Community & Labor Liaison and Outreach Officer, and is a certified GrassRoots Organizing Weekend (GROW) & Electoral Action Training (EAT) Trainer. He was the 2008-2009 USSA Vice President and was elected as the first openly queer Asian American President. Gregory also enjoys his roles as a national board member for Jobs with Justice, the National Youth Advocacy Coalition & the Generational Alliance. |

Lindsay is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she earned a BA in Anthropology. She has been organizing for increased college affordability since her sophomore year in college, when she joined the UMass Amherst Student Government Association as a Senator. As a Senator, she helped to found PHENOM (the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts), and has helped to organize students, faculty, and staff from across Massachusetts' system of public higher education. Lindsay was also a founding member of the Massachusetts Students Uniting statewide student association. During her senior year, Lindsay served as the Student Trustee on the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees. In the USSA, Lindsay served as Chair of the New England Region and has been a GROW trainer for two years. |

Angela recently joined the USSA family as the Legislative Director. She was introduced to the work of USSA in 2007 at a state wide rally of 500 students in Lansing Michigan and again at USSA's 39th Annual Legislative Conference. As a student at Western Michigan University, Angela worked diligently for change on issues that effect students, including defeating Anti-Affirmative Action legislation and promoting sexual assault policies and preventions. She was also instrumental in collaborating with universities across the state of Michigan to develop and institutionalize the Student Association of Michigan. Angela graduated from Western Michigan with a degree in Political Science and African studies, plus a fire to advance the social justice movement. As Legislative Director, Angela is committed to work tirelessly to ensure the continuation of USSA's legacy of winning legislative victories on the issues that are most important to students. |

Monique is the current National Field Director for USSA. She began student organizing at Southern Oregon University where she was part of the Oregon Students of Color Coalition and the Oregon Student Association for three years. After graduating, Monique was a vote organizer in Oregon and then moved to Arizona to organize for the Arizona Students' Association as the ASU-Tempe Campus Organizer. Monique's favorite part of being part of USSA is working directly with the students who shape the policy and campaigns that increase access and affordability to post-secondary education. |

Danny is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. As a student, he was the External Affairs Vice President of the student body, sat on the board of directors for USSA as the Golden Pacific Vice Chair and also served as the Board Chair for the University of California Student Association. He was also an Electoral Action Training Trainer. Prior to coming to USSA, Danny was a public policy fellow for the congressional Hispanic caucus institute where he did his placement on Capital Hill and at USSA. |

A graduate from Florida State University, Maria was active on campus and within the Latino community though her work as a radio dj and as president of the Colombian Student Association. Maria also served as treasurer of the Progressive Student Assembly, which mobilized more than 3,000 students and community members around juvenile detention centers and to demand justice in Florida's "boot camps". For the past year, Maria has been working with the Student Labor Action Project, and has helped students nationwide develop social and economic justice campaigns on their campuses and has trained students in grassroots organizing as a GROW trainer for the U.S. Student Association. Her views have been shaped by her own experience of coming to the U.S. with her family in 2000 as political refugees from Colombia. She loves working at USSA because of all the amazing people on staff and having the ability to support student who are doing amazing work on their campuses and challenging power to create a just society. |

Deven is a native of Andrews, South Carolina and a graduate of South Carolina State University with a degree in English. While a student at SC State, he served as SGA President and Editor of the Collegian. In 2007 he was a Congressional Black Caucus Intern working for House Majority Whip James Clyburn. He was also selected to be trained in the CBC Political Boot Camp. In 2008, he participated in the GenChange Fellowship Program through the Center for Community Change. Most recently he was the Campus Outreach Coordinator for Common Cause North Carolina. |

Gaby grew up in Miami, Florida and enrolled in the University of Florida in 2004. While at the University, she worked with the Dean of Students Office in Multicultural and Diversity Affairs. She was also an officer in Gator Humanics, an organization for students pursuing non-profit careers, and participated in Florida Alternative Break's Hurricane Katrina relief trip in December of 2006. After majoring in political science at UF, she went on to work as a community organizer for ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) in September of 2007. At ACORN she was responsible for organizing low-to-moderate income residents of an Orange County, Florida, community in order to improve safety, education, services, and accountability of local elected officials, among other issues. In August of 2008, Gaby went on to become the Alachua County Field Organizer for Florida's Vote No on Amendment 2 Campaign during presidential election cycle. Gaby is excited to be a part of the USSA team and looks forward to growing as an organizer while helping young people find their voice and advocating for broader social change. |

Jake grew up in Seattle and recently graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in political science and legal studies. In college, he coordinated AmeriCorps programs and social justice campaigns for the Civic Engagement Center, worked as a student lobbyist in the Washington State Legislature, was VP of Communications for the Washington Student Association for two years and President for one, and interned with the witness protection unit of the Washington, DC U.S. Attorneys Office. He sat on the USSA board and executive committee as chair of SSSAC and is excited to be back working to build an effective communications department. |

Cedric is originally from the great state of Wisconsin, where he went to UW-Madison. Now a newly removed Badger in Washington, DC, Cedric is the new Development Director for USSA where he fundraises, plans organizational events, and collaborates in the grant writing process. |
