ESTERO: Of all the Obama/McCain debate watch parties in Southwest Florida, the only group of non-partisan gatherings was on the campus of FGCU.

Campus groups have joined forces to get students talking.

FGCU's unique "Take the Vote" group has committed to registering as many different students as possible, regardless of their party.

"We need to get people mobilized and educated," said FGCU senior Tom Martin.

Take the Vote has already registered more than 500 FGCU students this semester alone.

And judging from the crowd spending their Friday night on a college campus watching a political debate - the future is bright for their organization.
