SSA Membership Process

USSA is a coalition of student governments and SSAs.  As such, there are two types of membership within USSA: direct campus membership and SSA membership.

  1. Contact USSA national office at (202) 640-6470 or ussa@usstudents.org
  2. Obtain support of SSA Board of Directors or other governing body through resolution or motion indicating intent to join USSA.
  3. Secure resources necessary and pay USSA dues of 2.5% of SSA annual operating budget. (Example: $100,000 SSA operating budget  = $2,500 USSA membership dues)
