The Campus Diversity Project

by Tim Bingaman last modified October 26, 2010 18:02

Education is a right, not just for the straight and white!

Created in 1990, the Campus Diversity Project (CDP) works with students of color and LGBTQ student activists to proactively address and break down barriers to higher education that affect underrepresented communities on college campuses.

The CDP is committed to supporting queer students and students of color by serving as a vehicle to link LGBTQ and students of color organizations on campuses with each other and with similar interest local and national organizations.

CDP also distributes educational and organizational materials on issues of recruitment/ retention and educational access, provides networking opportunities, trainings, and offers other forms of assistance to students.

Through this project, the USSA Foundation provides students with the tools, strategy, and support that is needed to win campaigns that increase recruitment and retention for LGBTQ students and students of color in higher education.  We work in coalition with various leading national civil rights groups to achieve this goal.
