Donate to USSA/F

Youth voter turn out is on the rise! This primary season has seen an overwhelming surge in student voters, in both parties. Students today are more civically engaged than they have been in decades. And the United States Student Association (USSA), and its tax-exempt arm USSA Foundation (USSAF) are playing a vital role is the student movement.

To ensure that student vote momentum continues, and ensuring that education friendly officials are elected, USSAF is running a non-partisan voter registration, education, and get out the vote campaign on 40 campuses across the country. Through a proven effective peer-to-peer program USSAF will train students to register 100,000 new student voters, and turn out student voters in record numbers in 6 states; California, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Meanwhile USSA is also fighting to preserve access to higher education. Ward Connerly, crusader against affirmative action, has targeted Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma to push ballot initiatives that would prohibit the use of any recruitment and retention programs. Connerly has already been thwarted in Missouri. But four more states are still at risk, if passed this legislation would restrict access to higher education for thousands of students. In addition to USSAF’s non-partisan work, USSA is working with students in Colorado and Arizona to defeat these attacks on higher education.

USSA/F are the nation’s oldest, largest, and most inclusive national student organizations. For over 60 years USSA/F has been engaging students in the political process, empowering them to be the voice for change on their campuses. USSA/F is the recognized voice of students on Capitol Hill, in the White House and at the Department of Education. And now we are becoming the recognized voice of students at the ballot box.
